Don Martin is a local photographer living in VIera, FL. Don's interest in photography began while he owned a dental laboratory for over thirty five years. The laboratory specialized in osseous integrated dental implants and Don took thousands of intraoral macro photographs for his publications and presentations. After retirement Don pursued his interest in photography by taking classes and enjoying various genres including wildlife, travel, landscape, and night photography.
Don has won numerous contests and awards including the Grand Prize in Outdoor Photographers 7th Annual International Great Outdoors Photo Contest with his picture, "Morning Conversation". The picture of baby Great Blue Heron chicks was taken at the Viera wetlands. Don also won Digital Photo's International People's Choice Award with his photo, "Evening Fun". The photo was a night shot of the Ferris wheel at the Central Florida Fair in Viera. Other awards include, Titusville Art League, Art Gallery Of Viera, Camera Club Of Brevard and The Florida Camera Club Council.
Don is a USN veteran serving at Camp Lejeune, NC and the Riverine Assault Force in The Mekong Delta, So. Viet Nam.
