Local artist and jeweler, Lois Ann Mittleman, will help you create unusual earrings, solve construction problems and design earrings using your own beads, gemstones, or collected treasures. Have you wanted to make earrings from that old necklace? Or from those shells? Or those old beads that belonged to your grandmother? Bring these to class. We will be designing earrings from each student’s collected items. Students will need to purchase a $20 basic kit. A higher quality kit that includes 14K gold-filled and sterling silver findings is available for $40. (Student needs to notify instructor at least one week prior to class to order this kit.) Students should bring: Something from home to make into earrings. Light-colored dishtowel, placemat or small piece of fabric to use for a working surface. We will be working small. If you need reading glasses or magnifiers, bring them. The instructor will supply jewelry-size pliers: round-nose, flat-nose and small wire clippers. If you have jewelry pliers, you might enjoy using your own. Contact Lois for more info and to sign up - firstname.lastname@example.org / 321-795-0509 / jewelrydesignsbylois.etsy.com
