Artist Bio

I have been involved with fiber arts since the 70s and am currently a member of the Potomac Fiber Arts Gallery at the Torpedo Factory in historic old town Alexandria, VA along the Potomac River.

I enjoy working with natural objects combined with hand weaving, using various glass beads, often taking the form of beaded cabochons. I have enjoyed the many years we have had the opportunity to watch the Space Program develop in Cocoa Beach and history being made. In some ways it has influenced my creative process in the jewelry that I create. I have also been influenced by my artistic mother who was a master of abstract painting in Brevard County for 30 years.

Artist Statement

I am mostly interested in creating free form sculptural bead woven jewelry. I use Japanese glass beads combined with semiprecious stones, fossils, sea glass, jasper, agate and various semiprecious chips.
