Fabric Art Landscape with Doris Hulse
September 7 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm$65
Create a work of fabric art with NO sewing and NO fear with instructor Doris Hulse! Students will “paint” with fabric and colored pencils using a fused raw edge appliqué technique, and create dimension by exploring color values and atmospheric perspective. Stencils and scraps will add the details, and students will go home with a finished panel ready to hang or mat and frame. Instructor will provide the base panel, fusible and Inktense pencils, but students should bring their own fabrics…materials list provided upon registration.
Doris Hulse lives in central Florida. She was an experienced art quilter traditionally for 20 years, but then discovered the world of “art quilting” in 2011. Doris works from photographs using hand-dyed and batik fabrics, transparent paints, watercolor pencils and raw edge appliqué. She is a member of the Studio Art Quilters Association (SAQA) and her work has been exhibited in regional, national and international juried shows.
$65 (plus $15 materials fee to be paid to Instructor on day of class). Materials list provided upon registration. Bring your own fabrics and scissors. Most supplies provided in the $15 materials fee.
