Making photographs draws Sally into exploring the culturally and physically diverse world. Majestic landscapes, winding village roads, busy city streets and laid-back beach towns beckon her.
Sally was born into an Air Force family and moved a lot as a child. Later, she helped her father in his photography studio in Cocoa Beach. These influences sparked her love of travel and photography. She was inspired to take photography courses in college as she pursued her degrees. Sally photographs details that define a place, location, or region. She alters her photographs using various materials to extend or create new meaning and to further indulge her creative side. Sally's art may nudge you to wonder and question perspectives and relate to other realities.
- My love for nature and travel inspires me to photograph details that define a place, season or region. I'm drawn to making photographs and art of trees as a gesture to celebrate their beauty and contribution to vital ecosystems and environments. Landscapes, nature, structures, old trucks and bicycles are favorites too, bicycles because they evoke a simpler time.
