The Studios is proud to offer a creative place for residents & visitors to enjoy. Stop by the Studios to see this diverse presentation of creativity from both our Studio artists and our Guest Artists. We are a non-profit, 501c3 organization and appreciate the amazing support our artists and our community have given us.
Minutemen’s transformation is exponentially building potential in Cocoa Beach for community: a walking, dining, creating, shopping, living community. Studios of Cocoa Beach, a non-profit art cooperative, has opened it's doors to a grand welcome from the community with a space dedicated to art, creativity, learning, and buzz. In other words, we’re amping up the vibrancy, life and fun in our little town. Whether it’s taking a workshop to learn painting from a master, buying that one-of-a-kind gift, browsing for art with out-of-town guests, or celebrating a birthday with a sip-and-paint party, we’re making Cocoa Beach an even better place to live, work and play.
Studios of Cocoa Beach is dedicated to mobilizing the diversity of the arts to inspire, educate and enrich the community through education, events, exhibits and outreach.

December's Featured Artist
I began my art career as a retail visual merchandiser, then as a graphic artist and owner of Bright Ideas Studio, established in 1984. After desktop publishing became popular and people began doing their own graphic design, I kept the business afloat by diversifying into fiber arts, utilizing my sewing and fabric manipulation training and talents to create soft-sculptured art dolls, art quilts, garments and accessories.
My art is inspired by my life’s dreams and experiences, and incorporates materials that have been “repurposed.” It is not uncommon to find scraps of hand-dyed fabric, vintage buttons, and even dryer lint (yes, dryer lint!) in my works. I love thrift shopping, collecting, and “dumpster diving” for unusual fabrics and embellishments to incorporate into my art dolls, fiber art, and one-of-a-kind accessories. In addition to doing my part to reduce my “carbon footprint” I donates a percentage of the sales of my art to several charities near and dear to her heart.
I enjoy sharing my talents with others by teaching workshops and classes in fiber art, sewing, fabric dyeing, silk painting and soft-sculptured dollmaking. I am a long-time member of the Brevard Cultural Alliance and have taught for several years with their Artist Residency Programs. I am also a member of the Ruth Funk Center for Textile Arts, Seams Unique Fiber Artists group and Art & Antique Studio & Gallery in the Eau Gallie Arts District. I create in my home studio as well as in shared studio space in Satellite Beach.
I have been a resident of Cocoa Beach since 1985, and have always been amazed at the talent that resides here.View full profile
