After the School Bell Rings
The Studios of Cocoa Beach invites our young artists to a competition to exhibit their art at Studios of Cocoa Beach through the month of September 2024. This gives our talented population a chance to participate in a real, professionally presented exhibition to show off their best works.
Artists from ages twelve to twenty are invited to participate.
All applications must be done on-line here.
Participants are allowed two images.
Cost is $25 for the first image and $5 for the second image. The fee can be paid on-line. Online payment must be completed in addition to the submission form, and the link is below the submission form.
Prizes Awarded:
Best in Show Award $100, Certificate, Ribbon
2nd Place Award $ 50, Certificate, Ribbon
3rd Place Award $ 25, Certificate, Ribbon
Merit Awards Certificate, Ribbon
Dates:
Apply on-line starting Mon. July 1 and must be in by September 1. On-line applications need a picture of the artwork (please send good pictures!), and other information about the artist - use the form below.
Acceptance: Determined by a jury from the Studios of Cocoa Beach
Notice of acceptance: Done by phone by September 4th.
Drop off for the show: Sunday, September 8, from 11:00 to 6:00
Installation of the exhibit: Monday, September 9, starting at 9:00 AM.
Show runs Tues. Sept. 10, to Sun., Oct. 06, 2024
Reception for the exhibition is Saturday, September 14, from 6:00 to 8:30.
The following is the criteria for entering the show:
Artists from ages twelve to twenty are invited to participate
Art must be original. No reproductions please.
All art, if accepted, must be wired for hanging close to the top edge of the work and presented in a clean manner. If the work is not wired for hanging we will be unable to include it. Wires only. No saw tooth hangers please!
Frames are optional but we need to be able to hang the work. We cannot tape the work up.
All works need to have the following on the back: Title of work, Artist’s name, Artist’s age, Materials used, Area where artist lives, and Price (*If work is not for sale, please mark it NFS.)
