For the Beginner journal builder, those wishing to refresh or revise their journal-making experience, or those who would like to create a personalized journal for a variety of purposes - travel, journaling, list-making, gardening, art practice, writing toward publication, or even capturing a particular life season, this class is for you.
Learn how to use different mixed-media techniques, supplies, and tools as you select your journal purpose. We will dip into color mixing, the "language" of mark-making, simple collage techniques, and ways to use a variety of supplies and tools while making one-of-a-kind journal pages and assembling a personalized journal.
Instructor
Robin Le Roy-Kyle is a published mixed-media artist, poet, and creative nonfiction writer. She is also a Navy Veteran and retired Florida educator, bringing 30+ years of teaching and writing experience plus ten years of art-making and creative business ownership to her classes, workshops, and groups. she believes creativity helps us communicate and grow, and words + colors guide the process. Getting outside the lines and unraveling layers of ideas while adding layers of paper and colors are goals in every class.
*Supplies are not included. A fee of $35 for all supplies is payable to the instructor at the start of the class. You will select your journal style in class. An Optional supply list of personalization items will be sent when registration is received
