Mediums: Mosaic, alchohol ink, acrylic, pastel

Eleven years ago my husband and I retired and packed up our twenty-two years of residence in Spokane, Washington to get warm. Now we’re lucky to live in Cocoa Beach. Originally from Philadelphia, I moved west to Tucson, then Santa Monica, and then the northwest.

My mediums are many because I thrive on regular breaks and the refreshment of trying new things. I’ve found a degree of creative fulfillment in all forms of art I have explored. I have dabbled and worked professionally in many forms of expression: writing, visual art, music and theater. Currently, my visual art encompasses alcohol ink compositions, small mosaic representational pieces for wall or easel, acrylic paintings on canvas or wood, and small pastels. My pieces, no matter their form, usually feel to me like vignettes from some story that I seek to tell. What I hope viewers enjoy in my work are the powers of color, humor, mystery and naïveté.

I also love to volunteer my time on Saturday mornings giving Kayak tours at the Brevard Zoo.
