Janine states:  “I love to journey into my imagination and then translate my vision into art using color and many different mediums.

“My parents discovered my talent when I was four years old and continued to encourage me throughout my life. In High School I had an art teacher who helped me develop my skills and as a result I earned an Associates Degree in Pennsylvania from Bucks County Community College in Fine Arts with a minor in Interior Design. In my last year of college I attended Talmadge Travel School and received my certification in the travel industry, a career that lasted thirty-six years.

“Due to my travel career, I continued to develop my art skills in the many places I lived including England and Oregon. I was fortunate to visit Ireland, Rome and Paris where I took the opportunity to practice art and visit many museums. In Alaska I fell in love with the whales and finally in 1984, I moved to Key Largo and lived in the area for thirty-five years with the benefit of diving and snorkeling observing the vibrant colors under the sea that has influenced my color palette.

“After I retired from the travel industry I became a full working artist.  This includes art and craft events, galleries and I am a  featured artist at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens.

“A quote that inspires me comes from Mel Fisher ~ 'Today's the day’.

His story inspires the drive of meeting challenges in pursuit of your dreams. Even when the chips are down and many told you that you can’t’.  Art continues to follow me hand in hand expressing the travels and the adventures that I take along the way”.

Janine moved to the Space Coast in 2020 and continues as a full time artist, “Full Blast!” because she can.
