The Studios of Cocoa Beach Celebrates its Grand Reopening and “A Family Affair”, Photography and “FantaSea Fish” by Debbie Tweedie and Watercolors by Drew Krecicki.
We have moved back into our old location and we invite you to celebrate our reopening in the old location at 165 Minutemen Causeway in downtown Cocoa Beach. At the same time, “A Family Affair”, an aquatic exhibition featuring the art of sister, Debbie Tweedie and her brother, Drew Krecicki will run through the month of July.
Our featured artists, Debbie and Drew, were raised in New Jersey and spent their summers on the Jersey Shore (LBI). It was during these summer months that their love of the ocean and all things aquatic were ingrained.
Debbie majored in Marine Biology, and spent years as a High School Biology and Marine Science teacher and Swim coach in Florida. Finally on retiring, she was able to focus on her art. Her photography, learned from her dad at a very young age, and her creation of FantaSea Fish, whimsical colorful fish made from palm seed pods, are the media for the exhibition.
Drew, after graduating from the University of Virginia and University of Pennsylvania, has designed schools, universities, and hospitals all along the East Coast. Drew will display watercolors where inspiration was drawn from light, reflection, shadows and form; all very prevalent in water, sailboats, sun and sand.
The exhibition begins Friday, July 1, and runs until Sunday, July 30, 2023.
The Reopening Celebration and “Family Affair” Reception takes place on Saturday, July 15, 2023 4:00 to 8:00. Join us in our celebration and meet artists Debbie and Drew and enjoy being surrounded by art that Cocoa Beach has to offer.
The Studios is an artist run non profit gallery of approximately thirty local artists and includes paintings, art photography, fused glass, ceramics, woodworks, jewelry, palm art, surfboard culture art, cards and reproductions.
