Marsha Q. Houck is a retired RN who spent her career as an Ob-Gyn office nurse and childbirth educator. She started painting seriously when she retired. The majority of her inspiration comes from photos taken around the beach or the old family property in the Low Country of South Carolina. Not having had a formal education in Art, she is grateful to have had the opportunity to have private lessons with some established artists. Reading, studying instructional tapes and picking the brains of the artists friends she admires gives her a continual source of Art education. Marsha generally uses acrylics, oils and mixed media to create her pieces.
